Weekly therapy is not enough of a support to contain the shift from dis-ease to wellness. However, the experience of attuning to and being supported by a therapist who is consistent and life affirming is enough to shift a clients’ experience of themselves and the world around them. Life can be challenging. What is needed is consistent support from both self and other. Deep healing begins when a client begins showing up for themselves with a regular self care practice.

Paying attention and being aware of all the dimensions of self is needed. Take a look at the wheel above. What areas are you comfortable with? Which are make you uncomfortable and therefore you avoid. Stepping into your discomfort and building tolerance for it, is the key to living a happy balanced life.
